A 66 Galaxy 7 Liter for 7000 bucks. Maybe it’ll go up, nut with only a few hours left I bet it wont go up much. It’s already a driver, and just needs some upholstery. My Dad had two 67 Galaxies as a teenager, one was a 500 neither were 7 Liters, I would love to buy this for him. Also the only model car I ever completed was a 67 Ford Galaxy. I painted it candy apple red.

I saw a greenish fastback 500 with no muffler tearing down a street last year. Been in love with these since. They're damn cool.

That’s why people rob li quo r stores. So they can have enough money to buy their dad’ s an unnecessary , but coveted, 428 cubic inch bucket of bolts and memories .

Thats what I’m thinking. It does have rust, and needs a paint job tho. To me it’s hardly any rust, but I guess if you’re in California or the like the rust on this car would seem like a big deal.
I think the car is absolutely still a good driver. I would fix the seats and the dash and enjoy eating up all those gallons of dinosaurs.

Perhaps a cool deal for a driver, but if someone wants a perfect restored car, they’ll be spending a fortune on this, enough to run in the red no doubt.
Seller is a bigtime dealer/flipper who might know when to bail, and the price is now 8K, who knows what could happen at BaT.
That being said, the first car I regularly drove was a 66 Galaxie HT, same dark blue (but less fancy and a cold blooded 390), the 66 has style by the ton.

This. The more you look at the pictures of the left rear corner of the car, the more you see wrong with it. The contour lines show the entire side on the corner is bondo, and the trunk lines aren’t even close to right. That thing got hit hard in the side at some point. Add in the rust and this car is a basket case looking for a sucker to buy it because it looks okay from 50 feet and makes a nice noise. If you could get it for a few thousand , the drive train might be worth something if you found a straight and rust- free body from the Southwest to swap out.

The interesting thing to me is, as neat as it is, it’s just an old American Car. I had a chance to drive a ‘66 mustang, clost to the spec of my college ‘66. It’s neat to look at but not to drive. A 50+ year old american car drives like a boat, turning the wheel changes the lean angle a lot more than the direction it’s going. And the brakes are non-existent.

At a quality shop, you are probably looking at 15K+ for body and paint alone.
Price just passed 10K too, which I think is all the money for it as it sits. Neat car even with its issues, and I’d drive as is without care , but it’d have to be a labor of love.

Finished at 14.5K. What’s a mint one worth, 30K-ish? You can’t get there from here.

One impression I got was how i n- substantial those cars feel. I suspect is I am not used to the cowl shake and vibrations coming through the steering wheel column. The just are crude.
